Getting my period was the worst thing— two weeks every month, the most unbearable cramps, I would almost faint from the pain. You can't control it. I was terrified when it was coming, scared to drive too far from home. It was the easiest decision of my life. Psychologically, there's no difference. Anxiety I had before has diminished. It had no physical impact, no loss of physical pleasure. Sex I think is actually better because I'm not afraid of getting pregnant. I had two children—if I was losing that (ability), it would've been different. I still have my ovaries so I didn't go through the change. It's fabulous.
