I'd go to sleep with a bath towel between my legs, and that didn't do it! I had little stitches put in my bladder, they told me the only other option was major surgery. It helped for six months, then I probably blew out my stitches. My husband and I went to southern California on vacation, we went to Disneyland, and drove up the coast of California. I had awakened the second morning with bronchitis and I coughed and peed all the way up the coast of California while my dear sweet husband saw the scenery by himself. I wet the rental car, I wet my girlfriend's sofa. She's like a sister, so I could talk freely—I was in tears. My doctor had me doing Kegel exercises, but it was hopeless at this point, like the proverbial putting the thumb in the dike. I was so distraught, the quality of my life was suffering so much. I tried to be lighthearted about it, my three teenage sons would joke, "Don't pick mom up, you'll get a puddle at your feet," or "Don't make mom laugh." *284/162/1* General health |
